Favourite Style of Carp Fishing:  I really enjoy the peace in nature, which is why I prefer to fish in remote, quiet and unknown places. But there are also times when I'm just looking for the hustle and bustle of circuit waters, this gives me that little bit of extra satisfaction in achieving my goals. I also try to plan 1 or 2 long sessions in France every year. This mainly involves tackling the large reservoirs. In addition, I also want to enjoy a weekend on the canals in the north of the French country.

About Davy

I am Davy Meulenberg, 36 years old, born and raised in Den Bosch and father of a 10 year old daughter.

Somewhere around the age of 6, my father took me to the bank for the first time to teach me how to fish. This was mainly with the pole on roach, and later with the casting rod on other whitefish species.

Around my teens, however, my interests changed and fishing was put aside. After I finished high school, the fishing bug came back, this time there was no longer fishing for whitefish, but the pike and zander were screwed. From polder systems to ditches, a plug or blinker was thrown in everywhere.

Until I was invited at the age of 17 by my father-in-law to go fishing for carp for a session. The first bite was for me and this immediately resulted in a beautiful mirror of 13 kilos. From this moment I was sold, and it didn't take 2 weeks before I bought my first complete set up. Since then, carp fishing has ceased to be a hobby and has become part of my life and I can count myself lucky to have a job at the fantastic Trakker Products!
